Rock­et Lab is devel­op­ing anoth­er booster.The Cal­i­for­nia-based com­pa­ny, which rou­tine­ly gives small satel­lites ded­i­cat­ed rides to orbit with its Elec­tron rock­et, announced on Mon­day (March 1) that it’s going to build a new, big­ger launch­er called Neu­tron. That same day, Rock­et Lab also revealed that it will become pub­licly trad­ed after a planned merg­er with Vec­tor Acqui­si­tion Cor­po­ra­tion, a move that will help fund the Neu­tron work.The 130-foot-tall (40 meters) Neu­tron, which is expect­ed to debut in 2024, will be able to launch up to 8 met­ric tons (17,600 lbs. or 8,000 kilo­grams) to low Earth orbit.
