One thing Jack Eichel knew regard­ing Tuesday’s match at the Gar­den against the Rangers is that he would not be ser­e­nad­ed by 18,000 fans chant­i­ng “We Don’t Want You!” as Rick Nash was when he came to town with the Blue Jack­ets eight days ahead of the 2011-12 dead­line. Nash scored the tying goal with 1:33 remain­ing in reg­u­la­tion that game, before Derek Stepan won it in over­time for the good guys.

(How would Eichel know that? Well, only 1,800 fans could be in the build­ing for this one.)
