Sen­a­tor Mitt Rom­ney (R‑UT) says that if Don­ald Trump decides to run for a sec­ond term for pres­i­dent in 2024, it is like­ly he will get the Repub­li­can nom­i­na­tion. Rom­ney, the 2012 Repub­li­can pres­i­den­tial nom­i­nee him­self, says that he thinks Trump will con­tin­ue to play a big role in GOP politics. 
Rom­ney said on Tues­day, “He has by far the largest voice and a big impact in my par­ty. I don’t know if he’s plan­ning to run in 2024 or not, but if he does, I’m pret­ty sure he would win the nomination.”
Rom­ney went on to say that if Trump did run in 2024, he would not be vot­ing for him.
