Fox News Media has hired for­mer Sec­re­tary of State Mike Pom­peo as a con­trib­u­tor, the com­pa­ny announced Thursday.

It said Pom­peo would pro­vide com­men­tary on Fox News and Fox Busi­ness Net­work for both day­time and prime­time shows. His first on-air appear­ance as a con­trib­u­tor will be Fri­day on “Fox & Friends.”

The post could ben­e­fit Pom­peo by con­nect­ing the for­mer Trump admin­is­tra­tion Cab­i­net mem­ber to Fox’s audi­ence. Pom­peo is seen by many as a poten­tial pres­i­den­tial can­di­date in 2024.
