FTC tightens merger approval process in blow to Big Tech

Democ­rats at the Fed­er­al Trade Com­mis­sion vot­ed Wednes­day to probe cer­tain merg­ers more close­ly, which could lead to greater lim­its and uncer­tain­ty in cor­po­rate acqui­si­tions of new star­tups, par­tic­u­lar­ly with­in the tech industry.
