Biden says official dealing with holiday shipping backlogs doing a ‘heck of a job’

President Joe Biden commended his port envoy tasked with handling supply-chain disruptions for doing a “heck of a job” in a speech at the White House announcing new efforts to unclog holiday backlogs through increased around-the-clock shipping operations.
The pandemic has worsened long-standing global supply-chain issues, leading to concerns that the Biden administration could suffer political backlash if holiday shoppers cannot get their packages on time.
“And I especially want to thank Joe Porcari,” Biden said, calling the official, John Porcari, by the incorrect first name. “And I think Joe has done one heck of a job, my special envoy, specifically on ports, who has been working this issue with all of the stakeholders for the past several weeks.”
