Pres­i­dent Joe Biden’s “Build Back Bet­ter” agen­da is mor­ph­ing into an even big­ger spend­ing plan of action, as his admin­is­tra­tion seeks to spend $3 tril­lion more on Green New Deal-like poli­cies after Con­gress final­izes his $1.9 tril­lion coro­n­avirus relief legislation.
Although plans remain flu­id, the pack­age is expect­ed to appease the left wing of the Demo­c­rat Par­ty, a build­ing block for Biden’s agen­da, which could encom­pass his party’s long-await­ed wish-list of green ener­gy, car­bon tax hikes, as well as child and elder care legislation.
