Just as quickly as the Biden team and mainstream media was to call Joe Biden the 46th president of the United States, was Joe Biden himself to assume the position and all the privileges that come with it. Now, he’s doing all he can to gain access to the intelligence briefings with a little help from a turncoat GOP senator.
“GOP Sen. James Lankford (Okla.) said there was ‘nothing wrong’ with President-elect Joe Biden getting intelligence briefings and pledged to ‘step in’ if the former vice president doesn’t have access by Friday,” The Hill reports.
“Asked about Biden not getting the briefings, Lankford told Oklahoma radio station KRMG, in an interview that aired Wednesday, that it ‘should be resolved’ by Friday.”
“ ‘There is no loss from him getting the briefings and to be able to do that and if that’s not occuring by Friday I will step in as well, and to be able to push and to say this needs to occur so that regardless of the outcome of the election … people can be ready for that actual task,’ Lankford said”
Meanwhile, Biden’s team is seemingly usurping the State Department which supports all communications from foreign leaders for the President-elect, by contacting foreign governments on their own. According to CNN, Biden has held numerous calls with leaders, including Germany’s Angela Merkel and Canada’s Justin Trudeau. But they are operating without the logistical and translation support that the State Department operations center provides.
