NASA Astronauts Take Walk Outside of International Space Station

[embed­ded content]Two astro­nauts are tak­ing a space­walk out­side the Inter­na­tion­al Space Sta­tion today (March 5) to pre­pare the orbit­ing lab for new solar arrays and per­form a series of oth­er upgrades. NASA astro­naut Kate Rubins and Japan­ese Aero­space Explo­ration Agency astro­naut Soichi Noguchi will spend more than six hours work­ing out­side the sta­tion dur­ing today’s space­walk. The pair plan to com­plete work to set up a new mod­i­fi­ca­tion kit on the sta­tion’s port­side solar arrays to sup­port new arrays that will arrive at the sta­tion lat­er this year. Today’s space­walk is the sec­ond this week for the space sta­tion’s Expe­di­tion 64 …
